Simon Anning

Many of my clients know me for my studio photography; lighting their products to show them off at their best or capturing the perfect expression on a model shoot. These skills are equally transferable on location and whilst I don't specialise in one aspect of photography, the versatility I've developed over 20 years means that I'm in a good place to offer the images you need.

I love working collaboratively and try hard to make the studio a happy environment where we can produce some great shots. Equally I'm not short of ideas if you simply want to send me a shoot box and the outline of what you require.

For many years I've worked for editorial clients, primarily for magazines and in recent times a lot of this work has been product photography. Of course the product photography skills I have are just as useful to manufacturers and sellers and more of my work is now leaning towards these clients. Another important area I have experience in is 'step by step' photography, capturing the stages of creating or assembling things, usually working with hand models. There's a wide range of interests I've worked on including arts and crafts, children's titles, technical publications and cookery.

Added to these skills, I also have a love for environmental portraiture, industrial and architectural photography.

Aside from my professional life, being in the great outdoors is what I enjoy; cycling, walking and skiing are usually what I'm trying to find time for.
